Restorative yoga is a relaxing and supported practice that is about slowing down to restore your body’s natural capacity for health. Sound is one of the oldest forms of healing and has been used by nearly every culture for thousands of years. Sound Baths relax the body, clear the subconscious, and help activate the body’s natural healing systems.
This 2 hour workshop will start with a grounding meditation practice to help you settle into and find rest in the space. Following the meditation you will be guided through a series of restorative postures intended to relax your body and calm and heal your nervous system. Each pose will be held from 10-20 minutes and accompanied by a sound bath with crystal singing bowls.
Students should wear comfortable clothes they can relax in and bring a blanket. Bolsters, blocks, and mats will be provided to support the body into deeper relaxation. Participants will be provided weighted sandbags and eye masks, not usually available in studio, to further ground you into poses.
